InDesign -- center image in frame

Hi,

I'm just learning InDesign, and porting some printer's marks scripts from QuarkXPress. Here's one thing I'm stuck on: how do you do center an image in the rectangle it's placed in -- the equivalent of telling a Quark picture box "set bounds of image 1 to centered".

Right now I have it working by calculating and setting "geometric bounds of page item 1" of the rectangle, but I feel sure there's a simpler way.

Thanks,
Pat
