Thanks for the detailed explanation of why "get eof" appears to
return a real number.
When I go shopping for my next hard drive I'll make sure it's not
bigger than 8192 Terabytes or I'll have to rewrite my scripts (and
just how long will the script take reading a file that size 512 bytes
at a time?)
