Is it possible to display a popupmenu in place of a "fill in this text"

No, but choose from list offers the same functionality.

What vocabulary do I use?
choose from list {"red", "blue"} with prompt "Pick a color:"

If this only possible with a lib, what do you recommend? 24U?
Any free ones?
I'm a fan of both Studio and Smile, depending on what the project requires.
