At 05:14p +1000 04/06/2004, leo didst inscribe upon an electronic papyrus:

want to code a little helper script what launches a translation site in a
webbrwoser.

this action should be independent (reagrading wndow size defauilts, etc) of
my usual webbrowser s(safari and IE), so i need another browser app. but
what other browser is well scriptable?

has anybody experience or recommendations?

Not without more information.

What precisely are your scripting requirements? AFAIK, every Mac browser (other than Safari) supports the GURLGURL (get url) event. What more do you need?

-boo
whose default browser on OS X is Lynx 2.8.5
