Greetings to all,
Interesting question [at least to me] about OS scripting success.
I write my scripts on a G3 PowerBook using Jaguar 10.2.8
One of my users has an iMac G4 running Panther 10.3.2
My scripts don't work on this machine.
A Second user [at the next desk] has a PowerMac G4 tower running
Panther 10.3.2
My scripts run just fine on this machine.
In a different situation:
When I call a "set theFolderRef to choose folder" command it works
perfectly on most machines.
BUT
this user's computer [G4 Tower - Panther 10.3.2] acts like it is
running the "choose folder" routine
BUT
After navigating to the folder and hiliting it - there is no "Choose"
button. There is only an "Open" button.
Clicking on the button proceeds to open the 77 image files in "Preview".
I don't want to open the files - all I want to do is choose the folder
they are in in order to get a list of their names.
This works perfectly on my machine and on 3 others - 2 running Panther.
What gives?
Any insight here would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance - You all are the greatest.
Oakley
