This is why for 99% of my AppleScript UI work, I use FaceSpan 4. No, it's
not free. No, it doesn't give me Cocoa.
But, it's a MUCH better *AppleScript* tool than Studio is, and it lets me
use Script Debugger, which, even though Studio *FINALLY* has basic
debugging, is still far better than Studio for that task.
FaceSpan just has a real bug with secure text fields...if you get the
contents, it returns "". Kinda annoying, and their workaround is
kludgy. But the hierarchal view they have in their script editor of the
object relations in the project does not suck, and you can port code back
and forth between studio and facespan with remarkably little effort.
You have to redo the nibs, and that kinda sucks, but I can live with it.
Check out FaceSpan if you don't mind paying. It's a nice AppleScript tool.
