That's pretty easy to do! At the risk of sounding smug, the amount of
time you'd spend learning the relevant bits of AppleScript would easily
be cancelled out by the time you save from your script - and future
scripts that you'd then be able to write with your new skills! Don't
you fancy learning the basics of AppleScript?
I'm sure folks on here would be glad to help with any specific problems
you come across, although I imagine most of us would shy away from
writing finished custom solutions for strangers/competitors for free!

Come to think of it, don't you have a copy of Apple's free Backup
program? This would let you do this without any AppleScripting
knowledge required...
