At 08:26p -0700 04/20/2004, trinko didst inscribe upon an electronic papyrus:

has anyone used non system icons in display dialog? from the dictionary it seems you can use a number or a string. i know you can use 0,1,or 2 but in OS X how do i refer to a custom icon? thanks.

Data fork-based .scpt files (such as Script Editor 2.0 creates) cannot do it; you need an open resource fork. SE 2 saving as an app has a resource fork, so you can place a 'cicn' there; if you need it for a script document ('osas'), you'll need to use a different editor (namely the excellent Script Debugger).
