auto backup Applescript?

hey all,

I haven't had time to really work on figuring out Applescript (college student), so I'm still a newbie with it. Does anyone have a script that could run itself automatically at a certain time everyday that would take a file and make a copy of it in completely different folder? The reason I ask is that the other day my PB completely (and i mean completely) froze when my iPod was connected and iTunes was right in the middle of "updating" it. I waited for 5 minutes, tried everything, but to no avail. There was no beachball and it didn't respond to my attempts at force quitting anything. The mouse still responded to the touchpad, but the keyboard input did nothing. I was forced to simply hit restart...and in the process I corrupted my iTunes Music Library data file, and lost all of my song info. I have a back up somewhere, but it's at least 2 months old I think, which does me really no good. I could manually make a back up of this file, but being that I have plenty of more important tasks everyday, it isn't on the top of my priority list (and it shouldn't be). I'm looking for a script that will once a day take the file and make a copy of it into my documents folder or something, that way if it ever happens again, the worst that could happen is i lose a day's worth of info. Anyone have something like that already written or can whip it up quickly? I'd really appreciate it...

sps
