I had given up increasing the delay after I got to 5 seconds and it still
didn't work. So, on the basis of your experience, I just ran it with a
10-second delay, and it worked.
This old 500 MHz Titanium PowerBook G4 has gotta go. The screen is already
hanging from a single hinge, and I can see part of the case beginning to
split. I sure hope the PowerBook G5's come out soon....
All this shows that the use of the 'delay' technique can be problematic for
scripts that are distributed for use on a variety of machines. You really
have to test on the slowest machine.
