the script creating and writing to a file just fine, but I don't
know where to start in creating a new file based on time.
Hmm. You say you have the creating working, so do you mean you just
need to create a file *name* based on time?
If so, then how do you want the filename to look? "2004-02-09.log" or such?
Id dat what you be askin'?
