  • Thread-topic: AppleScript Replace text in item names

An apple script is pre-installed with panther called
Replace Text in item names.scpt (under Finder Scripts)
This script only replaces text items in a currently open finder window.

Is there an edited script or language to alter this script to replace
the text in filenames not only for the open finder window but for all
files in sub-directories as well?

I need to replace test in file names for an entire drive including
sub-folders and files residing in all directories.

Thanks for your help!
