i realized after i sent my last that i'd forgotten to mention the subject changes *not* when the message is created, but at some point during sending. i left my send line commented out as a courtesy to people checking the list first thing in the morning, but of course that's where i see the changed subject line - at the send. maybe you didn't send yours? (please let that be true...) sorry for the confusion.

No, I sent it; I was referring to the received message.

well, bugger. i'm assuming when you said before you substituted your address, you did so in the script, not manually in mail...when i address manually, the subject lines are left alone.

i throw myself on the mercy of the list - is anyone else seeing what i'm seeing? (if you missed it, scripted redirects from mail.app arrive at their destination with "(Modified by <the sending account>)" appended. it only happens when sending with mail.app so far - entourage, of all things, behaves as i'd like it to.

thanks,
