At 08:39p -0600 02/24/2004, John Robinson didst inscribe upon an electronic papyrus:

I need an applescript. One that will remove PC programming data from a Word document's text when flowed into a Macintosh Quark document. We are plagued by "missing font" warnings when we flow Word text into our Quark documents. Each time the warning shows, and not necessarily at the beginning of the new document. Perhaps half way through. Surprise!!!!

We can't replace the missing PC fonts. There is nothing to replace, except the originally opened flow text. Except the message returns. Each warning destabilizes OS922. Many freezes and system crashes.

For the time being we are stuck using OS9, don't ask.

Anyone ever heard of such a rip in script?

But what exactly would it be removing?

Is this styled text whose styles you need to preserve, or can it just be saved as a plain text document (which would automatically solve the problem)?

Are you looking for a WordBasic macro to redefine styles?
