My numToStr handler would normally have been more suitable, but even it
gave the same truncated result with this number. :-( However...

... incorporating this neat trick seems to work - at least, for numbers
with up to 15 digits in their mantissas. I don't know how reliable it'll
be in the future, but I've now posted an update to my handler on
