I have tried one solution that said to use:
Repeat until app "FileMaker Pro" does not exist
End repeat
This worked but slowed the machine to A DEAD SNAIL CRAWL - simply not
acceptable.
Try this:
Repeat until app "FileMaker Pro" does not exist
delay 5 -- wait 5 seconds before repeating
End repeat
