And sorry for my over-the-top anguish last night! A good night's sleep
*was* in order.
I still can't deal with the case of zero records. I can't find a way
to pose an "are you there?" query that doesn't throw some sort of
"object not found" error when there are no qualifying records. It's
like one of those Zen koans.
SHould I use an "on error" to identify this condition?
As far as creating a FMPscript goes, I'm afraid I don't understand the
procedure. I go to Find mode, type in search criteria... go to
ScriptMaker, and then what? I never found a place with a "no-dialog"
option.
