Err ... could you restate, slowly and in short sentences?
OK, let's say I have a folder with a file called "index.html".
Now I make an alias of the file to another folder and rename it to "Perl
Tutorial".
Now I run a script using "backup". The script resolves the alias, putting
the original "index.html" from the other folder into the target folder.
This didn't happen until I updated my Satimage osax recently. It seems like
"backup" used to evaluate filenames literally, without resolving aliases.

Thanks, I'll give it a try.
