I am trying to open a file in PS 7, resizing it and then doing a save

an AppleScript error, "Finder got an error. The operation could not be
completed." When I go to the newly created file I can manually rename
it, I can move it into other folders, I can replace an older version
of the new file but I cannot delete it, I get the file is in use error
message. I am using OS X 10.2.8. My code is below. Any help would be
appreciated.
The problem may be that Photoshop is still in the act of saving the
document, in which case it will have a temporary file name.
You could try putting something like this before the 'set
oldfilepath...' line in your script:
repeat until exists item ((theThumbnailPath as string) & newFileName)
of application "Finder"
say "?"
end repeat
You may want to limit the number of repeats in some way, to prevent the
script from getting stuck in an infinite loop in the event that the
file _never_ comes into existence :-)
