Mail.app Bug?

I think I've found a bug in mail.app, with the "background color" message property. If this is new, could someone please confirm?

tell application "Mail"
tell message 1 of mailbox "junk" of account what_ever
get background color
end tell
end tell

Using "get properties" returns "missing value" for background color.

Mail.app 1.3.2, AS 1.9.3, OS 10.3.2
