Image Events vs. sips scaling
Image Events vs. sips scaling

I have instances when I would like to use sips rather than Image Events
scripting, and have come across an interesting difference:
1. With sips, I can obviously scale images to pixel dimensions
2. With Image Events, I can scale images to pixel dimensions or a ratio
(like 0.5 for 50%)
A comparison between sips --help and the Image Events dictionary hasn't
given me any clues. Neither has some quick experimentation.
Am I missing something? Can I get sips to scale an image to a specific
ratio? Or am I required to use Image Events scripting to get a scaling
factor?
Thanks!
