[1] APPLESCRIPT...IN FOUR WINTER NIGHTS
Warm up to AppleScript this winter on four cold, New England winter
nights. In response to several requests for beginner level training and
meeting content the Boston AppleScript User Group has arranged with the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology to hold a four session course for
beginners. This course is geared to those who may have never written a
line of script or code in their life. If the only thing that comes to mind
at the mention of "sub routine" is that it must have something to do with
how Jared from the Subway commercials lost all that weight, then we have
some information for you. This course is free.
This course will be delivered in the style of an undgergraduate college
course. It will be held on four consecutive Monday nights beginning
February 23. Again, this course is FREE! Each session will be three hours
in length. The content will be based on Bert Altenburg's "AppleScript for
Absolute Starters" pdf text (FREE!). To get the most out of each session
you should prepare by reading the portion of the text upon which that
evenings' lecture is based. The lecture will be supported and supplemented
by discussion, questions and answers, as well as additonal supporting
examples. The one week interval between each class should be used to
develop your understanding of the material covered in the most recent class
and prepare for the next class.

[2] DATES AND LOCATION
The course will held on the following dates: February 23, March 1, 8,
and 15. Each session will start at 6:00pm and may run as late as 9:00pm.
