Well if you already know that, then what's the problem? ;)

Is this the only workaround?

If you'll be sending different events to different apps (such as I do with my BBE FTP Open script), then yes. If it's just to the same app on another machine, then possibly not; you might be able to use the 'using terms from' construct.
