At 02:51p -0800 01/21/2004, J Charles Ferrari didst inscribe upon an electronic papyrus:

I am not an expert on curl, but I have been unable to make it work on some sites, such as
http://zip4.usps.com/zip4/zip4_responseA.jsp?

[snip]

So, it would appear that scripting the browser might be more effective for some tasks.

Uhh... that "new and improved" page doesn't even work for me in Lynx.
However, the "old and better" page works in Lynx:

http://www.usps.com/ncsc/lookups/lookup_zip+4.html

Try using that page's form submission instead. I bet it'll work in curl.

Moral: Test in Lynx before using curl.
BTW, Lynx is available native/precompiled for OS X.
