Just tried with Jaguar too.
I get those ... too.
(I wouldn't dare to put them within quotes anymore...)

Seems to be a way to symbolize an introspection (the array within itself within...).

But this also means that AppleScript up to version 1.9 (or just the Script Editor?) was better suited to somehow detect and handle such self-referential structures.
