How to Read from Text File?

  • Subject: How to Read from Text File?

On the Apple website I found a nice script to let me save a string to a text file. How can I do the inverse and read from a text file without opening up an application like Text Edit?
I just want to bind a string variable with the the contents of the whole file OR a given line from that text file.

I haven't found the code to do that yet.
