styled text to record, ok. But record to styled text?

With the old Programmer's Tool, I could easily combine a record containing <<ktxt>> and <<ksty>> back into a <<STXT>>. On OS X, I cannot find any way to do that, despite the ease of going in the opposite direction.

Any answers?

I'm looking for a way to store styled text, but that means recombining TEXT/styl data.

tnx,
-boo
