The final field in the final record ends with the Field Separation char
(ASCII char 28), and the final record in the file ends with the Record
Separation character (ASCII char 30).
And yes, by identical I meant truly identical data (though not
necessarily the identical physical location on disk, since I delete and
re-create the file each time.
