Seriously, as I encountered the problems under other circumstances as
well, I tried the various preference settings in SE, but without
success.
Could you tell us which checkbox to click (so that we don't have to
wait for an update)?
"defaults write com.apple.ScriptEditor2 DisplayAsUnicodeText YES".
However, this will make all your styles disappear. (Or rather, not
display -- they'll come back if you turn the option off.) It also has
no real effect on AppleScript's display of Unicode values, since it
pumps everything through styled text internally.
Also, I'm not sure why you're itching to do this. Recursive lists are
amusing to play with, but have no practical use that I'm aware of.
