Can I get a copy of those "custom configuration" ? :)
I would be interested too ;-)
Seriously, as I encountered the problems under other circumstances as
well, I tried the various preference settings in SE, but without success.
Could you tell us which checkbox to click (so that we don't have to
wait for an update)?
"defaults write com.apple.ScriptEditor2 DisplayAsUnicodeText YES". [...]
And where does one find the list of keys that one could add to plists when
they aren't originally included? How did you know that you could include it
without screwing up the application? Is there any documentation? E.g.,
DisplayAsUnicodeText isn't listed in the originally created
com.apple.ScriptEditor2.plist.
John, if one screws up the app with one's new
setting, then one did it on purpose.
If one puts something, a new property that the
app does not understand, nothing will happen.

Well, I believe I can answer this question for
Chris, without a formal procuration.
He is Chris Nebel, AppleScript Engineer, and I am glad *he* knows it... :)
But I see the point, how does one find out about
*those* settings. Reading, searching, desperation
and luck. I might be missing something... oh yes!
being friends with an AppleScript insider would
help.
Still today, I've found no documents that talks
about the OS 8.5 (and newer) feature of double
scroll arrow. All I found was reading this list
and some other "non Apple" sites on the net.
