my mom said to use SOAP

I'm having a great time with my corp's .NET server and making SOAP
calls to it.
I've tried a zillion combinations of method name , SOAP actions ....
and all I get are transport errors.
My IT guys think the mac is a retard.
I'm starting to think I am.
This is all out of your scope, but what I was hoping to find here is --
How can I output the XML post to show what the call soap command is or
isn't doing?
Secondly is there a trick to using authentication? The service they set
up for me requires name and password which I'm just putting in the
endpoint URL as name:pass@yaddayadda.
Where is the dictionary entry for call soap?
Is a .NET service that ends with .asmx a Windows only gig?

Thanks
.DS_Bill

} I'm sick of following my dreams man,
} I'm just gonna ask'em where they're going,
} and hook up with them later.
