Characters in a file name - some progress

  • Subject: Characters in a file name - some progress

Hi Walter

I have - amazingly - figured out how to get the filename into the text box I wanted it to go in:

set the text of text frame id 1004 of document 1 to name of document 1

and there is the whole filename. However, I do want only the first 11 characters and I have no idea how to limit the text entry.

Any help gratefully appreciated as I have to repeat this 25 times a month and it is a real nuisance copying and pasting, copying and pasting...

Thanks

Oz
