Yes, it was (well: is, for those still in MacOS 9) a Finder's property named "computer state" or so.
But anyway was (is) of a rather delicate usage.

Actually I don't know how to know whether the computer is being shut down. Maybe you'd rather do like Axel suggested, configure loginwindow. Sorry for the noise.


In fact, I was expecting an opportunity for asking the BIG question: no need for a french/belgian dictionary, thus?
