Yeah. And it works with ftp too. And it uses Finder:Go:ConnectToServer or something like it to simply mount the ftp site as a volume.

But

open location "ftp://doug:email@hidden";

fails but

open location "ftp://doug:email@hidden";

works OK.

I regularly telnet and curl to and from "Mercury" which is in /etc/hosts at the IP address above. Apparently AppleScript is not looking at hosts.
