You asked:
I need to know if I can name a range of text or a similar mechanism to
identify a text range.
Reply:
There is no way to "name" a range of text. However, here is an idea that
may work for you:
Get the offset of every text whose it is "whatever". Now you have a list of
numbers that represent the starting character for each
segment of text. Use this reference number to place your inline graphics.
But remember: text position references will change as you add or edit text.
(Could even change when you attach inline graphics.)
What I do is work from the back of the document to the front; that way the
positions are not changed. (What has changed is "behind" me.)
Once you get your list of text offsets, set the list to the reverse of the
list.
Now iterate through the list and place your inline graphics.
