BOSTON APPLESCRIPT USER GROUP "BAUG" MEETING
The Boston AppleScript User Group will hold their regularly scheduled
monthly meeting on Tuesday, June 22. Our meeting location is MIT
building E51, Room 372. Free parking is nearby, see info below.
This month we feature an introduction and overview of Javascript.
Duane Mitchell will introduce the Javascript language as it was
originally developed for browsers. This will include an overview of
language features along with some examples.
Bob Anderson will follow with a demonstration of how Adobe has
implemented javascript in their programs as well as how javascript
can be integrated with AppleScript. Adobe has made JavaScript the
primary scripting language for Adobe products. This clean
object-oriented language has the benefit of platform independence.
This session will show how to use the JavaScript debugger included
with Acrobat to write JavaScript programs. We will then show how
JavaScript can easily be embedded in AppleScript.
Please visit the BAUG website for additional meeting details, free
parking location, and map.
