Thanks for the advice but sorry, this doesn't work outside the US. Not
an option in Europe i.e.
Could someone tell me what the window in a window (as in the system
prefs) is called? What kind of a UI object it is? And how to find out
how to call it? Name or number, I don't care, but I don't know where to
start.
Thanks,
PTR

I had the same problem. I solved it by plugging the iSub into a
PowerKey (power strip that can be controlled by the keyboard, and by
AppleScript). Very easy to toggle the state of one of the outlets on
the PowerKey.
The original problem was sort of interesting. Customer had a G4 with
lots of music and most of the time he wanted to play it through the
iSub. Other times he wanted to play it through the house stereo
system. I found that if the iSub had power, the music would play
through it. If I cut the power (via the PowerKey) the stereo got the
output, via the headphone jack. I'm not sure why it works this way,
but it does. Very handy for the customer to toggle this way.
Of course you have to buy a PowerKey. http://www.sophisticated.com/

Hi,
I'm pretty new at apple-scripting. You could call it brand new. Just
started today.
I seem to have a problem allready. I'd like to create a script that
toggles the 'mute' for an iSub. And I can't get any examples of how to
script the Sytem Preferences. Could someone give me a hint on this
one?
Thanks,
