If you got that to work, I'd like to know how? :-)

What would be more useful is a routine to get stuff like "option-f" into a
format that the Terminal will understand.

Or better still, making the version of AppleScript that ships with Tiger
work with characters outside of MacRoman.

I wonder how Automator is going to cope with workflows where the folders
have the odd Greek letter thrown in?
