I'd like to see AppleScript's writing be modified to allow
a!gb (that is supposed to be {a leftarrow b}), or even a<-b, to stand
for [b returning a], or [copy b to a], or [set a to b] (in cases other
than below). Perhaps b!fa (that is supposed to be {b rightarrow a}), or
even b->a, would be better.
and
d!jc (that is supposed to be {c doublearrow d}), or even c<->d, stand
for [set d to c] in cases (such as lists) where the two are henceforth
identified.
This might make things clearer to readers of a script.
