Theoretically, yes, although I wouldn't know how to go about detecting that event.

I'd like to be able to get the current time (much as I can in QuickTime Player), since I can extract the track duration I'd be able to figure out from where I am when will this track finish and so when I should look at doing something else/checking again.

This particular frustration is why I tend to treat sound files as movies and script them via QuickTime Player.
