When I run this code:

choose file of type {"MooV"}
file type of (info for result)

I can choose several files apart from "MooV" ones, but their _file type_ is
not MPEG nor others, but "missing value", "", "????" or similars (which
could be, in fact, considered as a bug? I'd add perhaps a new parameter "of
extension" for the "choose file" command).

But I can also get other file types (but only types that can be opened by Quick Time Player); for example:

choose file of type {"MooV"}
--> alias "Dora:Picture 1.pdf"

file type of (info for result)
--> "PDF "
