Mostly, Macintosh and desktop publishing needs. Thanks
the archives of this list have quite a few listings and citations of
scripts.. you will find many usable sample scripts at

http://www.macscripter.net>.. there are also some that apply
specifically to Adobe DTP apps at <
http://share.studio.adobe.com>,
however the terms of use at that site mostly prohibit altering the
scripts for your use
