Hello, I am surpised to notice that TextEdit doesn't understand cut/copy/paste !!!

TextEdit is not very scriptable. I would recommend that you not waste your time trying to script it.

I wanted to, working in Quark 6, be able to copy a text selection, paste it in TextEdit and no, I have to use another application (Word) to do that...

Or BBEdit or TextWrangler <http://www.barebones.com/>, or Tex-Edit Plus <http://www.tex-edit.com/>.

good idea, I am going there :-)

By the way, how could I tell Word to type a carriage return after pasting my selection ?

Dunno about Word (Paul B could tell ya), but it's pretty easy in Tex-Edit Plus.
IMO, TE+ is the most exemplary Macintosh application. Check it out! You'll be glad you did. :-)

ok, then how would you do it in TE+ ?

Thank's,
Regards
Michel Raj
