I wrote some some data to a text file and it appears as:
http://www.sonymusic.com/
but when I copy and paste it into a browser it shows up as:
(null): h t t p : / /
w w w . s o n y m u s i c . c o m%0
0/
I can see the original URL in the string but it has been transformed
with all the ' 's.
Does anyone know what has happened here? Has something gotten
corrupted?
It got written out as Unicode text.
How are you producing the data?

I use an applescript to gather information from Safari windows and then
write it to a text file. The window URL is gathered by AS directly
with:
get URL of document 1
but also manually input a title with a display dialog which I believe
now returns unicode text, right? But it then formats all the data this
way?
Thanks.
