If by that you mean an AppleScript Studio Project, then that's why, Scripts
saved as part of a Studio Project do not retain properties between script
runs. Read the Studio tutorials. 'user defaults' in the Studio Reference,
and join the AppleScript Studio mailing list. You have to save properties to
user defaults (preference files, basically) and access them from there, to
retain values between application/script sessions. It's actually quite easy
since it's been well set up.
