I am pleased to announce that MathWallah version 1.0 is now available
for download.
http://www.approtec.org/mathwallah/
MathWallah is an extremely versatile calculator for the Mac. Suitable
for both occasional or advanced users, it is designed to be quick and
easy to use. It has a full set of advanced scientific commands,
extensive conversions, and customizability.
Make calculations quickly using easy to learn and convenient keyboard
shortcuts. Use either RPN or algebraic input. Operate on numbers,
complex numbers, matrices, variables or algebraic expressions. Matrices
can have complex numbers or variables as elements, and have several
convenient methods of input.
Alongside the result of a calculation, MathWallah also displays the
equation that produced it, as well as any variables used. Equations can
be checked to make sure you made the right calculation, or copy an
equation to the clipboard for use in a spread sheet, report, or
computer program.
MathWallah displays every calculation as a row in a stack or table, so
results can be compared. You can add your own notes to any calculation.
Reuse a previous equation and modify it to compare the new result. The
stack can be modified by deleting, or rearranging the rows.
Customize MathWallah with 10 custom keys, each with it's own keyboard
shortcut. You can assign your own equations, or any MathWallah command
that you want better access to, or run your own AppleScript's. Results
of previous calculations can be passed to an AppleScript file, and the
result passed back to MathWallah.
MathWallah is created with AppleScript Studio, using Deivy Petrescu's
extensive AppleScript math libraries
(http://www.dicas.com/MacOs/script_download.html).
MathWallah is US$ 15 shareware, with all proceeds going to the charity
ApproTEC (http://www.approtec.org/).
Thanks,
Mark Butcher
