Just received my copy last night , - Bless you Hanaan, finally an up-to-date
book on AppleScript.

As an old fart, I really prefer learning from the printed page, I've only a
chance to scan it so far, but seems to be a nice basic reference with a good
balance of examples, syntax, gotchas and concepts.

The book is nicely organized with an outstanding index. I was especially
impressed by Hanaan's writing style - far less intimidating than most, his
clarity and conciseness is exceptional. For example, I wish I'd read his
discussion on alias references when I was starting...

This would clearly be an outstanding choice (if not THE best choice) for
beginning AppleScripters -- and contains enough useful info for more
advanced users. It's not designed for those seeking "high-concept" theory
but I doubt anyone would regret their purchase.

Thanks again,
xandra
