Hi Gnarlie,
ScriptDB was created with one purpose: to add great capability to AppleScript.
I am glad you raised your concern since this is the only way I can respond to it.
There's no trap, nor bait and switch. It is very simple: The XML feature is turned off, and the entire osax is much cheaper this way ($12 instead of $25).
We figured that not everyone will want xml, but we still put a lot of work into making sure it is compatible with FileMaker Pro. It is all stated very clearly on our site (www.applescriptdb.com/buy.html).
I understand that you had problem registering at the start, which I tried to help you with (I have gotten a total of two emails from you, only one asking for help).
Please state your dissatisfaction in a clearer way: I though I'd get X for my $12, but I got Y instead...
Calling a business practice of a company 'bait and switch' or claiming we set up a trap are very serious allegations, and since I know they have no backing I will choose to try and further help you rather than get upset...
I am sorry you jumped into the wrong conclusion, but I am sure that if you need what ScriptDB has to offer, we can sort it out.
Regards,
Hanaan

Gnarlie,
You need the pro version to save xml. The basic version saves text only.
You know what? I'm beginning to think this is a bait-and-switch and I want
my money back.
After so many emails I don't understand why I'm not up and running with this
OSAX. I'm also publishing this on the list so others don't fall into the
same trap. All these hoops and obfuscation scare people away.
Sincerely;
Gnarlodious

First I tried to register as Rachel Cogent and that didn't work. Then I
tried my internet handle, Gnarlodious and that worked although I have
no
idea why it parsed the name out of the email address.
But I can't save a database, my assumption so far is that it's an
unsupported action.

Ouch! I'm sorry you are having trouble.
To register you need two things:
The email you used in kagi and the serial number you got back from
kagi
(a longggg serial number)
After installing, write this command:
lkhLKFchesdLFVhdkfh/kflkhaslKCHasCLKJSLCK
(This, I believe is the info you got)
How did you try to register?
Thanks,

OK, I've spent a few hours now trying to get this to run. I even
payed
for
it and all I get is an error message. Adobe Photoshop is easier to
register!
How do I get this going?
