Can't seem to delete the last item of a list. I'm back to poking
through my To Do app and trying to catch the possibility that the last
item is an empty character, most likely a return character, which shows
up as "" in the last item of TheList. - else it makes an empty To Do in
iCal.
Matt puts an example of deleting an item in his book, but gee, I'm
sorry, but I do not understand it. As an example of how much
Applescript resembles Scheme it's great, but its too geeky for a simple
guy like me to grasp, disassemble in my brain and reuse. Sorry. And
nowhere does he mention the capability of getting the last item of a
list.
Bruce Perry's book mentions last item of a list.
Does End replace Last?
Now, the last empty item might be a space too, but it's most likely a
return. Compare the ASCII values and the script forges ahead and posts
an empty item in iCal. No deleting of the last item(s) of the list. Is
this a Unicode thing then?
So I am not exactly certain what the problem is. Last/End ? or Getting
the invisible character?
There is a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in.
