Script won't open from Dock

  • Subject: Script won't open from Dock

I have a script that runs fine when I double-click it (in its place in the Scripts) folder. But if I drag that script's icon to the dock, and click the dock icon, I get a message window saying "There is no default application specified to open the document "(null")." If I close that message window (the script is still not running), and then click the dock icon again, now the script starts up normally. If I quit the script and click the dock icon again, it gives the error message again.

I don't call any document, that I can see, in the script (it's basically an iTunes controller). A previous version of the script did not do this; the only change I made was to use 24U "Display Better Dialog" instead of Applescript's own Display Dialog.

This is OS10.3.6, if that makes a difference.

Anyone else seen this?

Ian
